Momo, an orphan slave child forced by Marcello to sell flowers in the eternal ghetto known as the Cauldron, has just one true friend, a disconsolate street mime named Frac. By saving Frac from committing suicide, Momo accidentally introduces them to Alegria, a circus of breathtaking acrobats, jugglers, clowns and a girl singer, named Giulietta, the ringmaster’s overprotected daughter. Frac falls in love but he must win over her father Fleur, who refuses to let his daughter be swayed by his advances. With the aid of Frac and Giulietta can the gamin Momo lead his fellow prisoners to freedom. The children, having left Marcello’s world of slave labor behind, are now free to regain their innocence and joy in Fleur’s world of the magical circus.
