A Tree of palme (Palumu no Ki)

At the base of a huge tree, Fow, an old botanist, lives in a hut with a malfunctioning wooden robot named Palme. One day, Corlum, a female soldier of the Sol tribe, shows up. She is seriously injured. Corlum hands a capsule to Fow and asks him to deliver it to Tamas, the world deep under ground. She says that she has carried that capsule back from the heavens to the ground. After saying these words, Corlum disappears. She leaves a peculiar sap and her sword at Fow’s hut. Right after that, soldiers of the Mohi tribe, who are chasing Corlum, break into the hut and fatally wound Fow with their swords. Before his last breath, Fow hides the capsule in Palme’s stomach and infuses him with the sap. Fow also gives Corlum’s sword to Palme and tells him to go to Tamas for Corlum’s sake.
