This drama tells the story of the Parisian Communards, from the Franco-Prussian war to the siege of Paris and the days of the Commune. Séverine is a young and sexy theatre actress with a long line of admirers, including the Prince of Wales and lord Grafton, the British diplomat to whom the Prince introduced her. Meanwhile, an Irish freedom fighter, O'Brien, who is working in the theatre, is also pining for Séverine. He is becoming involved In the politica! turmoil In Paris. Eager to be introduced to Emperor Napoleon III, Séverine becomes involved with Grafton, whom O'Brien discovers to be a spy. She turns her back on Grafton and resolves to work alongside O'Brlen...
