On the 10th of October, Daan Stuyven explores how visual projections will influence the future party scene during an immersive collaboration with the audio-visual collective Vidiots.
After Too Many DJs, Soulwax may soon be able to write a hit about too many VJs, or visual jockeys. These days, every party has a screen for projections, whether they're successful or not, to liven things up. The phenomenon has since grown into a new form of visual communication, which is why the audio-visual collective Vidiots, together with the Gent Film Festival, wants to give VJing the place it deserves. Daan Stuyven and his mates are keen to tackle the clash between image and sound during a concert at Vooruit.
