Internship: Assistent Film Music Projects
As an assistent at the Music Department of Film Fest Gent, you contribute to the start-up of the voting rounds of the World Soundtrack Academy, while supporting the coordinator of the department with the preparations for the music events during the festival. The range of tasks is diverse, but you can expect the following, among others:
WSA Voting - shortlists
- You participate in the preparations for compiling the shortlists for the annual World Soundtrack Awards
- You do the 'eligibility check' for the scores
- You ensure that the database is up-to-date and well-organised
- You help manage the submissions in the database
WSA Voting - members
- You contribute to an active communication about the voting to the WSA members
- You collect and update contact info of existing members in the database
- You do research on possible new members and write to them
WSA - Composition Contest
- You contribute to the annual update of the rulebook for the contest
- You take care of finishing the film clip for the contest and make sure everything is ready for the launch
- You do research on contacts to launch the competition
Archiving
- You help manage the physical archive of the World Soundtrack Awards
- You collaborate on the overview of past events for the website of the World Soundtrack Awards.

What profile are we looking for?
- As assistent to the coordinator of the department, you have a hands-on mentality
- You work autonomously, but you are also a team player
- You work systematically, accurately and keep an overview easily
- Good knowledge of English (both written and spoken) is a must
- You are eager to learn
- Affinity with the cultural sector is a plus, but your motivation is decisive

When is the internship?
This unpaid internship can be done on a voluntary basis or as a part of an educational programme. The internship can start at the beginning of March and can be filled in flexibly. Ideally, you are available from March to the end of June 2022.
