Stan Lee Cole

Stan Lee Cole (Stijn Cole ) is a jack of all trades. Graduated in 1999 as a Master of Arts, at the renowned Studio Herman Teirlinck art school. He wrote, directed and acted in several plays in Belgium between 2000-2008. In his work he succesfully combined music and theatre. After 10 years Stan started feeling unsatisfied in theatre and decided to pursue only music. He went back to school and studied several online music courses at Berklee College in Boston and followed classes at the Jazzstudio in Antwerp. Stan Lee Cole was born. At first it was a one-man band. A singer songwriter if you will. Using only his piano and loopstation beatboxing skills. Stan produced and recorded his own record. A song on that record ‘Separated’ won first prize in the International Songwriting Competition in 2012, judged by renowned artists such as Tom Waits, Suzanne Vega and Robert Smith, among others ...The video for ‘Separated’ Stan had co-produced with Mark Borgions and was nominated for a Belgian MIA award together with Stromae. Stan has played in several other bands over the years: including some fine artists as Tom Pintens, Luc De Vos, Tijs Delbeke, Bjorn Ericksson, Gregory Frateur and others... Struggling to maintain ground in the music business as a one man band, Stan started moving more and more to tv and film. Producing music for other people then himself. Stan starred as the ''Piano man" in the Belgian TV show Scheire en de Schepping. For 3 seasons he also composed the music for the entire show. Other than his own music Stan also produced records for other bands like hiphop artist KRAMER and electro princes Samowar. Stan Lee Cole started a company called Earbug. From there it went off. A first movie in 2016 ( Verborgen Verlangen) and a series for VIER ( Gent West) …Always collaborating with some of the finest musicians previously mentioned. Stan has a true love for stories. In movies theatre or games, in anything! And a unique approach to scoring. Thru his experience as an actor understanding drama and his experience as a musician when producing his own records. Enhancing the stories in media thru music. '' After 20 years I feel I have finally come full circle, as my studio skills and composing skills meet my drama skills in sound for picture.
