MENTAL HYGIENE AND VIDIOTS KILLED THE RADIOSTAR
On October 8th, 9th and 10th, Ken Smith presents his Mental Hygiene films. In the 1950s and 60s, American school children were shown short educational films on a regular basis to help them grow up to become model citizens. American Ken Smith has dubbed this series the Mental Hygiene films. He has written a book on the subject and will be taking part in the film festival with his mind full of ideas and three videotapes under his arm. That's right, three different shows, all three of which will be followed by a party!
October 10th: Vooruit Ghent and the Flanders International Film Festival - Ghent have joined forces for a unique event: a homegrown multimedia spectacle that you'll never forget called Vidiots killed the Radio Star. And the Radio Star is no other than Daan Stuyven. While he's doing his thing, the audio-visual collective Vidiots will make live music video clips.
