Summer in Berlin. Florian a young man in his early twenties, arrives on the night train in the city where he has chosen to live. He meets his old schoolfriend's mates at Robert's leaving party. At the party, Florian falls in love with Till's girlfriend, Petronella. These two embark upon an affair that nobody in their group of friends has any knowledge of. By the end of the summer, everything seems to have gone back to how it used to be, and yet, nothing is as it once was. The films episodic structure brings a colourful fresco to life. This, combined with a documentary feel and authentic characters, creates a genuine sense of life in the big city.
