Fall in Brussels. A young man, Joris, gives his ex-lover a funeral wreath in memory of their love and he goes to say goodbye to his best friend. He heads for Portugal, in search for good luck and a new beginning. Full of apprehension, he doesn’t manage to get to the station... He decides to postpone his departure for a few days and stays in a hotel room while waiting. The next four days and nights, Joris twilights between staying and leaving, remembering and forgetting. Until a sad, reserved girl finally incites him to action.
