Entering Hellhole, Eddie accidentally wakes John, the most influential character of the commune. John passes the responsibility of Eddie to Kathy, a heroin addict and prostitute who lost the custody of her own son to the family courts. When Kathy's roommate dies of an overdose, Eddie takes her place. Forced to live together in a tiny room, Eddie and Kathy develop a friendship.
