Toto Who Lived Twice (Totò che Visse Due Volte)
Three stories about a handful of characters caught in the whirl of a grotesquely distorted world. Paletta is obsessed by sexual desire. On learning that the notorious whore, Tremmtori, is in town he goes out to meet her. He gets admitted into her chambers, but before he can take his pleasure, she is kidnapped and Paletta is left to face a hideous punishment at the hands of the Mafia. The relatives of an elderly homosexual gather at his deathbed. His mother awaits the imminent appearance of Fefè, the dead man's lover. Fearing the brutal outbursts of his lover's brother, Fefè delays his arrival. Three crosses are erected on a hill. Paletta and Fefè already hang on two of them and await the third man, to whom fate has dealt the same punishment.
