The Last Days of Chez Nous

This film follows the events in a hectic inner-city Sydney household at the height of a balmy Australian summer. Beth (Lisa Harrow) is a successful writer whose cross-cultural marriage to Frenchman JP (Bruno Ganz) is showing severe cracks. Dramatic and bossy like her father, she works hard at the routines that keep her eccentric household together, which includes her teenage daughter Annie (Miranda Otto) and young lodger Tim who, absorbed in their own Jives, are seemingly unaware of any impending drama.
