"Suzanne" is the sad story of a young woman who, having lost all faith in a meaning of life, gives herself to a life of drug addiction, prostitution and ultimately death. Living together with an unsuccessful artist, whose work is a s empty as his heroine addicted brain, she is unable to assume any responsibility. She quits her jobs even before the first day of work is over and loses herself in an aimless sense of rebellion. When drugs finally lead her into prostitution, the first client she strikes upon - a conductor who is in town for a concert - turns out to be her father, who has left her and her mother years before. By the time father and daughter are on the brink of coming to terms with each other, she dies of an overdose.
