In the "Sunshine" institute for mentally handicapped people, Aldo Gennaro tries to guide the patients in putting on a total theatre show. The picture shows the growth of the berking spectacle, with the ups and downs in the creation process, where a lot of human sensitivity and emotion comes to light in the drama group, which consists mainly of handicapped people. Spontaneous humour warms the whole thing up into an optimistic ode to the imagination and skill of so-called disabled people. Moreover, Noonan is a born filmmaker who has had an eye for striking snapshots of the group.
