Shohei Sugiyama is an ordinary 42-year-old businessman, living a comfortable suburban life with his wife and adorable daughter. Everything seems to be perfect but Sugiyama feels something missing. Every night, on the train home, he sees a beautiful woman standing alone at a second floor window, lost in thought. She´s a ballroom dance instructor. Shohei signs up for lessons without telling his wife. He eventually develops enough skill to enter a dance competition and stand a reasonable chance of winning. Shohei´s midlife crisis is a turning point not only for him but also for the young instructor, Mai. When Shohei asks her out for dinner, she rejects him, explaining that she is completely serious about dance.
