With his penchant for modern “trash” aesthetics, the Canadian director has chosen some of the great names in contemporary music scene to transpose the works of the German composer into the context of our time. He thus creates a lush synthesis of musical and staging styles - from the videoclip style to the choral insert. Thanks to a supple use of camera and lighting, Weinstein manages to integrate smoothly heterogeneous elements that are set off by commentaries and documentary images ...
