Sam & Me

23-year old Indian Nikhil begins a new life in a new country (Canada) under the guidance of his manipulative uncle Chetan. Chetan sets Nikhil up in a boarding house, home to a collection of recent immigrants. Chetan makes plans for Nikhil to work with him at a medical supply ompany. When faced with his new employee, the company president seizes an opportunity and Nikhil finds himself 'caretaker' to the president's father, 75-year-old Sam Cohen, a Jewish gentleman with an eccentric reputation. After a shaky start to their offbeat relationship, the two of them
transcend age and cultural barriers to become excellent friends. The bond sparkles, but family and peer pressure force an end to the triendship.
