Rosie

97' - 1998 - Drama - Dialogue: Dutch
Director: Patrice Toye Composer: John Parish With: Aranka Coppens, Sara De Roo, Dirk Roofthooft

This is the touching story of a young girl who becomes the victim of her own imagination as she tries to escape from the harsh reality of her everyday life. In a detention centre, 13-year old Rosie recalls memories of her earliest childhood. She expresses her thoughts and feelings in letters to Jimi, her one and only friend. We go back in time and are immersed in her inner world, in which it is sometimes difficult to tell fact from fantasy. Gradually, the meaning of each detail is revealed. Rosie harbours a terrible secret… This secret is also the cause of her detention…
