Para Recibir el Canto de los Pajaros (To Hear The Birds Singing)

An apparently sympathetic film crew leaves La Paz for a village in the high Bolivian plateau to shoot a costume film about the arrival of Spanish conquistadors in the Andes in the 16th century. Mingling with a majority-Indian community, the filmmakers make a vain attempt to involve the natives as extras. After getting a categorical refusal, the production manages to “entice” some of the inhabitants of a neighbouring village. The production is saved, but incidents increase disastrously.
