Mumbo (4+) (Da Mumbo Jumbo blev kæmpestor)

The young hippopotamus Mumbo is too small to help with the preparations for the village festival. If only he were a bit bigger, he’d feel so much more useful! But when Mumbo picks and eats a magic mushroom, he becomes so enormous that he can’t even sleep in his mum’s bed anymore. Suddenly, he realises that being big isn’t so easy after all. The only one who can make him small again? The witch Baba Yaga, who lives miles away, in a little house on stilts in a dark forest. And so Mumbo has no choice but to set off in search of Baba Yaga, travelling along busy motorways, across deep waters and through dangerous forests. Fortunately, he can count on his brave friends Cheetah, Tapir and the little blue elephant Mimbo. This charming animated film is based on the much-loved children’s book by the Danish children’s author Jakob Martin Strid and is perfect for anyone who wants to learn that just being yourself is grand enough.
