This story is in the ancient tradition of the tales told by the wandering hards, a rare race of men who still rove the magnificent landscapes of steppe and forest. Molom is such a bard - a nomad, a traveller through time, and a mediator between men and gods. Reincarnated as a pilgrim - half shaman, half priest - it is his task to drive away evil spirits and give protection and enlightenment to the souls he meets.
