Manuel is 18 years old, a good student from a good family with, as his mother puts it, 'no reason whatsoever to be so sad'. Things really begin when the latter sends him to a Sevilla dentist's office, where his eyes fix on the terrace of the flat opposite, where a couple are dancing. Looking more closely, Manuel realizes that the man is pushing the woman towards the abyss below her, and that they are struggling. The woman falls: Manuel has been the only witness to the crime.
