Yoshioka, a detective, visits a housewife’s apartment for stakeout. He claims a criminal is hiding in an apartment across the street. Showing his detective ID, he pleads with her to let him in. Sumire reluctantly agrees. But the loquacious and insensitive man gradually steps into her private and when night has come, he is still there, saying that he has to keep watching the building where the criminal might be hiding. She soon begins to suspect that he may not be a real cop, as he behaves unlikely a policeman. But who is he and what is on his mind?
