Edition 1993
114' - 1993 - Drama, Comedy - Dialogue: German, Spanish
Director: Julio Medem Composer: Alberto Iglesias With: Emma Suárez, Nancho Novo, María Barranco, Carmelo Gomez, Karra Elejalde
Medem's opening hinges, typically, on a series of accidents. A girl has a rather serious accident crashing her motorbike on toa San Sebastian beach where Jota, equally by accident, has decided to commit suicide. As a result the girl is trussed up in a ward, diagnosed as suffering a rare case of amnesia. In a moment of inspiration he will live to rue, Jota visits her, passes himself off as her boyfriend, and takes her off to a campsite. But this jolly jape soon turns sour and La ardilla roja turns into a holidaying macho's journey into hell.
