Five young people try to survive with their desires and disappointments in today’s Argentina. They all want to be something, have the talent to do something, are ready and waiting for something… but in the end they spend their time on very different things, because they always have an excuse for postponing their dreams. Ailí, Morón, Equis, Toro and Fer try to reach the end of each day by working, talking rubbish, lying, falling in love or looking for sex. The events are fresh, spontaneous and as simple as they are exciting. It is a puzzle made up of “snapshots”, taken on five different days during one week.
The story is like a series of frescos which expresses a continuing hope for great changes. The events are fresh, spontaneous and as simple as they are exciting. And Buenos Aires is clearly one of the protagonists in the film. (Catalogue Film Festival Rotterdam 2001)
