The work is an early video installation that explores the physical and psychological space between two people. The film focuses on the tension between the camera (as observer) and the subject, drawing the viewer into an atmosphere of proximity that feels almost uncomfortable. It lays the foundation for her later work regarding the boundaries of language and human interaction. During this period, she experimented extensively with the 'cinematographic apparatus' to shape the relationship between the visitor and the work.
