A rescue mission heads for deep space, dispatched to the dark, barren world of the distant planet Morganthus. The spaceship Rebus lies stricken on the planet's surface, pinned there by a powerful force field that emanates from one central point, a vast pyramid containing an awesome and deadly secret. The rescue team arrives and slowly finds their numbers dwindling, as one by one they fall prey to unthinkable deaths. Inexorably the survivors are drawn towards the pyramid and the fulfillment of their destiny. Cult filmmaker Roger Corman has created a terrifying film that takes the best elements from "Alien" and "The Thing" and ends up a masterpiece of horror.
