A young writer struggles amidst a hostile environment to put his artistic and political ideas into a navel. He joins hands with two fictional characters, Leticia and Sergio, who appear to him in a magical way and first act as a sounding-board, but later on start to correct him. When the writer roams through Buenos Aires armed with a camera to record impressions from daily life which he will use as a source of inspiration for his navel, he finds himself in varying situations and meets all kinds of bizarre characters.
