We follow the family of Silo, a shepherd, his son Simko and daughter Kurde. One day, when Silo and Simko are up in the mountains with their herd, soldiers appear, shoot one of their sheep and make them carry the dead beast to the military post. There the soldiers eat it, forcing Silo and Simko to watch. That night, on their way home, Silo and Simko come across the peshmerga's, fighters for a free Kurdistan. Because of what happened taht day, Silo decides to buy a gun, to be able to defend himself and his family. Simko is full of anger and insists on revenge...
