Though the contents and the technique aim at a very young audience, a deeper undertone cannot be ignored. Some day or other, each child feels frightened on discovering the surrounding world. This fright, however, disappears as time goes by. It is quite a normal evolution, examined and explained by psychologists and evoked poetically by Suzanne Maes.
