On the surface, everything in Claudio’s life is under control. He’s 35, has a good job and an attractive and stable boyfriend. But beneath this veneer, Claudio’s life is in turmoil. For 10 years, he’s been HIV-positive. The constraints on sex with his boyfriend, the relentless demands of his drug therapy, and a vague anxiety that something vital has been drained from his life are taking a toll. Quietly desperate, Claudio finds himself haunted by a one-night stand with a younger man, beautiful Andrea. When he meets Andrea again by chance, the two enter into a love affair that abandons the rules and restrictions of Claudio’s ordinary life. For a short period, Claudio experiences a carefree way of living. For Andrea, Claudio’s illness is something unimportant.
