Bernard Rose

Chicago Joe and the Showgirl

Edition 1990
103' - 1990 - Crime, Drama, Romance - Dialogue: English
Director: Bernard Rose Composer: Hans Zimmer With: Emily Lloyd, Kiefer Sutherland, John Lahr

In war torn London, part-time showgirl Georgina Grayson is 18 years old and dreams of Hollywood. Craving excitement and danger she is willing to use her body and face to fulfill her fantasies. G.I. Ricky Allen is far from home, a small time hood who projects to others the glamourous fiction that he is a big-time gangster - the embodiment of all the gangsters in movies.

True to form he strokes his ego by playing the gun-toting mobster with the willing Georgina, while at the same time carries on a "boy-next-door" relationship with Joyce, an innocent local beauty.
