Yann Andréa studies literature at a French provincial university. One day, he falls under the spell of an author, a name: Marguerite Duras. He avidly reads everything he can lay his hands on. For five years, he writes her several letters a day. When they meet for the first time in the beach town of Trouville, it is as if they’d known each other forever, a shocking realization that blocks out everything else: the difference in age (he is 35 years her junior), Yann’s nervousness and his disillusionment with life. She can’t get over the fact that she’s the one he’s chosen. It’s marvellous, yet unbearable … They know that time is their enemy, that death is stalking their passion … (press kit)
