Back in 1955, Baudouin, King of the Belgians, made his first trip to the Congo. The young king, smiling and dressed in pure white, made such an impression on the locals that they gave him the surname of 'Bwana Kitoko'
(meaning 'young and handsome chief'). André Cauvin made the official film of the royal journey. lt is a unique example of colonial cinema which has recently been restored by the Royal Belgian Film Archive. André Cauvin will introduce his film and answer to questions.
