On his way from work, Chicago broadcaster Richard Libertini is shot by assailants who identify themselves as ZOG. Primal suspect is Vietnam veteran and farmer Gary Simmons who lives alone with his two children in the heartland of America. The FBI assigns Cathy Weavers to investigate the murder and possible infiltrate in Simmons’ life. Unfortunately the FBI-agent falls in love with heartbreaker Simmons. Blinded by his charms, plain image and average-American appearance she is convinced of his innocence. When she is invited to one of his hunting-parties her dreamlike relationship with Mr. Right ends. She is torn between her professional duties as an FBI-agent and her role as a smitten lover.
