Léa Pool

Anne Trister

Edition 1986
103' - 1986 - Drama - Dialogue: French
Director: Léa Pool Composer: René Dupéré With: Albane Guilhe, Louise Marleau, Lucie Laurier
As in her first feature, La Femme de l'Hôtel, Swiss-Canadian director Léa Pool tackles deeply felt, intense female portraiture in Anne Trister. A visually sumptuous, slow-moving and deliberate work, the film teeters on the brink of dramatic stasis and psychological cliché. In the moments it finds its feet, the film is lovely.
