And the moon dances (Bulan tertusuk ilalang)

Ilalang and Bulan are two 25-year-old students of the 68-year-old teacher of traditional music Waluyo. Ilalang is a young composer who faced several traumatic experiences in his youth because he had a violent father - who for instance liked to stick a needle in his finger. Bulan is a young woman who is searching for individual guidelines, but keeps losing sight of them somehow. Despite differences in age, position and sex, a great bond of love develops between the three characters.
