This surrealist film of the twenties was long thought to have disappeared. In a psychiatric hospital a woman is nursed by her husband after she tried to kill herself and their baby. She was saved, but the baby drowned. Memories of their happy past are alternated with their present misery. When his wife refuses to leave the hospital during a rebellion there, he resigns to leading an austere life. (Catalogue Ghent Film Festival, 1994)
