WSA Film Music Days
WSA
Film & Music
The WSA Workshops are the ideal opportunity to gain insight into the methodology and artistry of a seasoned professional. During this session, a small group of participants embarks on a musical journey with acclaimed composer Jeff Russo, who is nominated for Television Composer of the Year at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards.
Russo scored varied and compelling music for film, television and video games, including shows such as Apple TV+’s Cape Fear, Amazon Prime’s season 2 of Citadel, FX’s Alien: Earth, Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Cursed, and Altered Carbon, and Fargo, for which Russo received an Emmy in 2017 and four additional nominations.
The workshops are a collaboration between Film Fest Gent and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent (KASK) and are aimed at fellow composers, (film)music or sound design students and other screen music professionals, to better understand the creative bond between filmmaker and composer.
