His most iconic works include the scores for Yimou Zhang’s House of Flying Daggers (2004) and Curse of The Golden Flower (2006), Wong Kar-Wai’s In the Mood for Love (2000) and 2046 (2004), and Seijun Suzuki’s Yumeji (1991).
Through Umebayashi’s expertly crafted scores, audiences can immerse themselves in the musical world of Asian cinema. The music will be performed by the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by maestro Dirk Brossé. They will be joined by soloist Ilse Eerens and the Flemish Radio Choir.
