On 18 October, the renowned Belgian ensemble New Art Trio will officially present its latest album, JIZO and other concert works by film composers, to the public. This will take the form of a free aperitif concert at 12 noon in the recently renovated Handelsbeurs.
Film and film music have been inextricably linked since time immemorial. Film music supports, nourishes and translates visual emotions and characters. This requires a specific talent that film composers must demonstrate. The public often forgets that many of these composers have also written a wonderful repertoire unrelated to film. During the aperitif concert, the New Art Trio will perform precisely this music. The film composer as concert composer. Five composers were selected for the project: Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Adrian Williams, Astor Piazzolla and Frédéric Devreese. Both Frédéric Devreese and Adrian Williams will be present at the official presentation on 18 October. They also attended the CD recording at Klara's Tootsstudio.
