About the film

Theodore is a lonely man who earns a living by writing personal letters for others. When he installs an AI operating system, he unexpectedly develops an intense bond with the artificial voice Samantha. What begins as a practical aid grows into an intimate and complex relationship, forcing him to reflect on love, connection and what it means to be human.

With Her, director Spike Jonze paints a tender and forward-looking portrait of loneliness and technology. With a subtle blend of romance, melancholy and philosophy, the film explores how relationships are changing in an increasingly digital world.

With a restrained yet powerful performance by Joaquin Phoenix and a compelling voice performance by Scarlett Johansson, Her has become a modern classic.
