Taiwan highways are crammed with millions of cars everyday. They represent Taiwain’s miracle. But on weekends, they become Taiwan’s nightmare. One day, the government announces that the highways will be closed 12 hours and all the cars have to use regular provincial roads. Many cars are forced off their usual routes... Jade is a typical Generation X-er. To rush to a Mah-jong game, she steals a roadside jeep. On her way, she picks up the car’s cellular phone and calls the owner - not for any reason, just to bug him. The owner is a yuppie designer and the two of them gradually establish an ambiguous relationship : from hostile to friendly to something that may be called love...
