Director: Erik de Bruyn Composer: David van der Heyden With: Fedja van Huêt, Frank Lammers, Frederik Brom
The ‘Wild Mussels’ of the title are the recalcitrant and charismatic Leen and her friends Daan and Jacob. All three of them have lived all their lives in the countryside on one of the islands that make up Zeeland and each is chasing a particular dream. Leen hopes for a grand, interesting life – preferably in Ireland, Daan for a special catch of fish and Jacob for the love of Iranian dancer Atash. But will any of their dreams come to pass?
