Uova di garofano

A man is walking across a flowery meadow on a hillside, holding his child by the hand. He reaches an old farmhouse where he had spent his childhood many years ago, during the war. He enters the house and seeing those empty, desolate rooms, his mind returns to the time when he was a six year old boy and the Second World War was about to end. Images of many episodes of his family flash by: his father, mother, grandmother and six children. Het was the youngest, stricken dumb by the shock of an exploding bomb.
