The Innocent

119' - 1993 - Drama - Dialogue: English
Director: John Schlesinger Composer: Gerald Gouriet With: Isabella Rossellini, Anthony Hopkins, Campbell Scott
The Cold War is over, but like any good war it is destined to sprawn movies for years to come. The plot concerns Leonard Markham (Campbell Scott), a young British electronics expert sent to West Berlin to help a group of American spies (headed by Anthony Hopkins) set up surveillance on the Russians in East Berlin. He falls in love with a beautiful, married German woman (Isabella Rossellini) and their affair endangers Leonard's project, particularly when her seedy husband, a Russian informer, finds out about it.
