Sababu tells the story of a prosperous, peaceful village where life is suddenly disrupted by all manner of intrigues and disputes. It is a murder that triggers all of this. The authorities, with their own laws and practices, come into conflict with a traditional society that tends to follow the rites and customs of its forefathers. Operating between the two camps is the village interpreter. A clever and ambitious 'crisis manager' he shows great skill in manipulating the conveyed messages to his own advantage.
