L'Amour en suspens (Ties and Ropes)

‘L’amour En Suspens’ is a modern tragedy, set in the 50s. Marcel has been working on a rubber plantation, just before the independance of Malaysia, when people could earn a lot of money in ten years time. He arrives at the valley of Meuse in search for the daughter of his associate, with whom he has still a heritage to settle. He discovers a world he couldn’t even have imagined in Asia. These people work in a cabaret, where various attractions are being held, especially the mud catch. It is a film about a complicated family with plenty of manipulations.
