Jancio, philosopher and a man who loves life and his young wife Weronka, lives in the village. He is at peace with God and doesn't expect to be tested by him. One day he discovers he has the power to perform miracles. He decides to leave his pregnant wife and venture out into the wide world, promising to return before the birth of their child.
