High Boot Benny

82' - 1993 - Drama - Dialogue: English
Director: Joe Comerford Composer: Gaye McIntyre With: Marc O'Shea, Alan Devlin, Frances Tomelty
A police informer is found murdered in a small school just south of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic. Suspicion falls on the school's protestant matron and on Manley, an ex-priest. Benny, a 17-year-old delinquent who has found a refuge at the school, is also implicated. He has a natural distrust of all the sides involved and places his faith in the matron, who is striving to create a natural haven in her school. But neutrality is a luxury that proves difficult to attain for the strange trio of Matron, Manley and Benny and they find themselves increasingly under threat.
